Ted Brown Music offers a simple, easy, month-to-month rental plan for new and used band and orchestra instruments. Rent the instrument for as long as you need, or hold onto it and accrue discounts toward the purchase of an instrument!
We are also your local one-stop shop for all your band, orchestra, and other musical needs! We can special order school-approved band and orchestra books, supplies such as care kits, reeds, music stands, and other accessories. Through us, you can also order virtually any music supplies, books, or even instrument purchases like guitars, keyboards and digital pianos, or drums from Ted Brown's best-in-state inventory, all with local pickup in Federal Way!

For instruments including piano, keyboard, drum set, guitar, bass guitar, ukulele, and other fretted instruments, rentals are not available, however there are affordable purchase options from Ted Brown Music.
Prospective students and families interested in studying any of the above instruments and who do not own one should contact us for recommended models prior to purchasing, to ensure the quality and suitability of the instrument for lessons.

Before arriving, please call or email the Federal Way School of Music at 253-279-7844 or info@fwcschoolofmusic.com to confirm your preferred instrument is in stock and to make a rental appointment.
Once you make your rental appointment, a helpful staff member will personally assist you in completing the rental application!
To pick up all your school band or orchestra supplies conveniently in one stop, contact us ahead of time with your band/orchestra supply list provided by your child's school music instructor. Some common required school music supplies include a book, music stand, and cleaning kit for your instrument.
